This puzzle contains eight pictures of historical events with short descriptions of the events. Each description has a single incorrect words and a single incorrect digit. It is relatively easy to find the correct words and digits.
Picture | Wrong Word | Fixed Word | Wrong Number | Fixed Number |
1 | Articles | Declaration | 15 | 13 |
2 | Disobedience | War | 17 | 12 |
3 | London | Southampton | 1965 | 1985 |
4 | Hours | Minutes | 1932 | 1935 |
5 | Washington | Lincoln | 18 | 28 |
6 | Nixon | Johnson | 1953 | 1963 |
7 | Lance | Neil | 13 | 11 |
8 | December | September | 2005 | 2001 |
To find the answer, it is simply necessary to index into each corrected word using the corrected digit. For example, for the first image, the corrected digit is a 3, and the third letter of the corrected word, Declaration, is a C. Continuing this method for all eight images, the answer is revealed to be CAPTIONS. Certainly the captions played an integral role in this puzzle.
