[Solution] Codes and Ciphers – 01 February 2021

As the name suggests, solving this puzzle requires the use of multiple different methods of translation. The symbols used indicate the pigpen cipher.

This gives us IV XV XX / IV XV XX IV I XIX VIII / IV I XIX VIII, which observant solvers will recognize as Roman numerals. Translating to our modern Arabic numerals gives 4 15 20 /4 15 20 4 1 19 8 / 4 1 19 8.

From here, the numbers can be replaced with their corresponding letter of the alphabet (A=1, B=2, etc.) to get DOT / DOT DASH / DASH. The best-known cipher using dots and dashes is Morse Code. Translating . .- – gives the word EAT, which is our answer.
