[Hint] Gridlocked! – 1 July 2024

Last week’s puzzle was Gridlocked!. Well done if you solved it, but it’s proven difficult, so check out the hint below if you haven’t. (And send me a message if you cannot understand the hint – I’ve tried to be as clear as possible, but I have no idea if it actually make sense.)

The Real Deal, this week’s puzzle, should be far more straightforward. There are so many things you can do with a deck of cards.

The names of the seven puzzle types (Nonogram, Akari, Acrostic, Sudoku, Logic Grid Puzzle, Pent Words, and Star Battle) can all be found in the completed Fill-In puzzle, though they’ve been broken into two – or in one case, three – pieces. Those pieces are spaced far enough apart to mark opposite corners of the grids for the puzzle they name – For example, NONO and GRAM mark the corners of a 10×10 square. The gray squares are your targets.
